As a resident of Slemon Park, you have many community resources at your doorstep.

Our convenience store is located at the Slemon Park Plaza that is within walking distance of your home. The store offers a variety of households items, coffee and groceries. A Canada Postal Outlet, a Maritime Electric Payment Centre and Lotto Centre is located within the store.

Our store is open daily from 6am-8pm Monday to Thursday, 6am -9pm Friday, 10am-7pm Saturday, and 12pm – 5pm on Sunday. For more information please call 902-436-6807.

Our 80 seat family restaurant is located at 12 Redwood Avenue at the Slemon Park Hotel & Conference Centre. We are open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner offering daily specials. As a resident you will receive a 10% discount off all regular priced items on the menu. We also offer monthly 2 for 1 specials and a take- out service.

Our 88 room 3.5* Canada Select Rated hotel is located at 12 Redwood Avenue offering an affordable place to stay for family and friends visiting the area. We have setup a Friends and Family Rate that residents can use for out of province guests, so they can be close by.  This rate includes a free continental breakfast. We also provide meeting rooms and food services for receptions, banquets and weddings.

    Rental Housing FAQs

    Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm

    Rent is due on the first day of every month.

    The security deposit is the equivalent of one month’s rent.

    Slemon Park housing provides heat, maintenance, water, and sewer.  Some homes also include electricity. The tenant is responsible for phone, cable/satellite, tenant insurance, and electricity (to have the electricity switched to your name, call Maritime Electric at 1-800-670-1012).  You must provide proof of tenant insurance and  electricity ownership before taking possession of your new rental home.

    The Slemon Park rental housing community has many onsite conveniences, such as a Canada Post outlet, a convenience store, the Canada Games Sports Centre, Anson’s Restaurant and Bar, the Slemon Park Hotel and Conference Centre, the Slemon Park Plex ice rink, and many prominent community employers like Vector Aerospace, Honeywell, JVI Training, the Atlantic Police Academy, and MDS Coating Technologies, to name a few.

    Yes, you may have up to 2 pets.  The residential community at Slemon Park is in the City of Summerside and you must adhere to the City by-laws.

    Friday is Cart day, and recyclables are collected the second Tuesday of every month.  Please be sure garbage is curbside by 7:00 a.m. on pickup day.  For more information, call 1-888-280-8111 or visit www.iwmc.pe.ca.

    You are required to provide written notice or complete the online Termination of Lease Notice. Notice must be received on or before the 1st day of month at least one month before the due date for payment of rent.  If you have been here less than a year, you must give two months’ notice.  Also, please read the Exit Check List for Tenants.

    Your security deposit will be returned within 10 days of completing your exit walkthrough.

    No, you may not sub-lease.
