Slemon Park Homes FAQs

Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Rent is due on the first day of each month.

The security deposit is the equivalent of one month’s rent.

Heat, lawn care, 24/7 on-call maintenance services, water, and sewer are all included in your rent. Some homes also include electricity. The tenant is responsible for phone, cable/satellite, tenant insurance, and electricity (to have the electricity switched to your name, call Maritime Electric at 1-800-670-1012). You must provide proof of tenant insurance and  electricity ownership before taking possession of your new rental home.

The Slemon Park community has many on-site conveniences including the Slemon Park Heath Centre, a Canada Post outlet, convenience store, Anson’s Restaurant & Pub, Slemon Park Hotel & Conference Centre, the Plex at Slemon Park ice arena, as well as many prominent community employers such as StandardAero, Honeywell, the Atlantic Police Academy, and MDS Coating Technologies.

You are required to provide written notice or complete the online Termination of Lease Notice. Notice must be received on or before the 1st day of the month at least one month prior to the due date for rent payment. If you have been here less than a year, you must give two months notice. Also, please read the Exit Check List for tenants.

Your security deposit will be returned within 10 days of completing your exit walk through.
